About BrickLink Designer Program
In this program, fan designers submitted their own models, and a selection went into a crowdfunding round on BrickLink. Only designs with enough pre-orders were produced by LEGO, in a limited run. The result is an official set built from LEGO elements, designed by someone from the fan community.
