Jumper plates are the half-stud offset workhorses of the LEGO toolkit. The classic 1x2 Jumper with single centred stud comes in two variants: with groove (3794b) and without groove (3794a), plus a newer 1x2 Jumper with Groove and Bottom Stud Holder (15573) for tighter connections. The 2x2 Jumper with Groove and 1 Stud in Centre (87580) handles half-offsetting in both directions.
