City

LEGO® City spans sets and minifigures from the modern City line and the earlier Town era it grew out of. LEGO renamed the long-running Town theme (1978-2003) to City in 2005, and from 2013 onward most modern sets carry the 60000-series number range. Loose minifigures use the “cty” prefix to identify them as part of the City line.

City has many sub-themes. Police is the best known, from the classic Police Pursuit (4437) and vintage Police Car (7236-2) to the modern Sky Police Parachute Arrest (60208) and current Police Car (60312), with matching officers including the City Helicopter Pilot (cty0487) and gold-badge Police Officer (cty0450). Fire is another big sub-theme: Fire Motorcycle (60000, the first set in the modern 60000-series numbering), Fire Response Unit (60108), Fire Rescue Helicopter (60411) and the retired Fire Accessory Set blister pack (850618), with multiple firefighter variants (cty0115, cty0351, cty1282, cty1371, cty1372 “Finn”) and Fire Chiefs (cty0345, cty0350). Construction and mining are represented by Steamroller (60401), Dozer (7685), Mining Team (60184) and a scowling Construction Worker (cty0641). Specialty sub-themes include Volcano Explorers (cty0681 with breathing gear and helmet), Jungle Cargo Helicopter (60158) and Jungle Scientist (cty0789), Ocean Mini-Submarine (60263), Sports cars (60448, vintage 8402), Go-Karts and Race Drivers (60400), Swamp Police (cty0513, cty0514) and modern oddities like Airplane vs. Hospital Bed (60459) and Picnic in the Park (60326).

Well-known vintage Town-era sets include Small Car (3177), Medic's Car (623), Sports Car (8402), Traveler (7567), Doctor's Car (7902), Flatbed Truck (60017) and the very first 60000-series Fire Motorcycle. Most modern sets carry a 60xxx number, and individual cty-prefix minifigures can be bought separately to complete a vintage set or build a custom City scene without needing a full set.

Whether you're rebuilding a vintage Town-era City scene, completing a modern Police or Fire sub-collection, sourcing a specific cty-prefix minifigure, or building a custom MOC city, search by set number, character name or sub-theme.
