Description
LEGO® Technic 42045 Hydroplane Racer: a 2-in-1 set from 2016 with 180 pieces, from the Technic theme. You build a blue and white racing hydroplane with large sponsons, a big cockpit and black-and-white checkered racing stickers.
Push the LEGO Technic Hydroplane Racer along and the engine comes to life: the pistons move and the propeller at the back spins. Once it is built, you can use the same pieces for the second model, a Race Boat. The box notes that the model does not float, so it is one for the table or the shelf, not for the bath.
With 180 pieces it is a compact Technic build for ages 8 and up. Like the 42057 Ultralight Helicopter from a year later, it is one of the smaller 2-in-1 Technic sets with moving engine pistons.
- 2 models in 1: Hydroplane Racer or Race Boat
- Engine with moving pistons and a spinning propeller
- Hydroplane Racer about 6 cm high, 23 cm long and 13 cm wide
- Race Boat about 6 cm high, 21 cm long and 10 cm wide
- Age 8 to 14
- Box size about 26 x 14 x 4.7 cm
